The third CMASA Africa Inter Club Challenge held at the magnificent Fancourt, was once again a huge success.

Congratulations to the winning team of Janus Horn and Richard Jonker from Princes Grant who were victorious on overall points of 155.

Their prize is an all-expenses paid entry (excluding flights) for them to defend their title in 2020. Janus and Richard secured their entry into the 2019 event through the fabulous Stella Artois promotion, which ran at CMASA member clubs for a period of three months. Well done! Clearly you are not only lucky, but can play good golf too, and you are deserving champions.

Left to Right: Janus Horn - winner, Sandra Lennox – GM of George GC, Richard Jonker - winner, Janyne Marais – GM of CMASA

HOLE-IN-ONE

CONGRATULATIONS to Veemal Bhagwandas from Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club on his first Hole-in-one during the CMASA Africa Inter Club Challenge 2019.

Veemal achieved his first ever Hole-in-One on the 12th hole on Outeniqua. This was also the first Hole-in-One recorded at the CMASA Africa Inter Club Challenge.

The purpose of this event is to raise the level of awareness and promote CMASA’s services as the representative body for all sports and recreational clubs in Southern Africa.

CMASA offers member clubs access to information on international and local best practice material relating to the management and governance of their clubs as well as seen as the preferred partner in education, training, resources and recruitment solutions for the club industry.

Today's club manager may be expected to manage a complex and sometimes large property of several hectares; maintain multiple buildings and facilities; provide sports and leisure services for members and visitors; manage a team of employees and contractors; promote the business to the local, regional, national and in many cases international communities and of course manage the club's finances efficiently and prudently.

To find out more about CMASA – please visit our website www.clubmanagement.co.za

The event is open to general club members, to educate them on the services and benefits that we provide to the club industry, and to network and interact with members from other clubs, by means of an annual golf event.
