VACANCY AT ATLANTIC BEACH HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION NPC: SPORTS & FITNESS CENTRE RECEPTIONIST
We are recruiting for a competent and reliable receptionist to join our Atlantic Beach Links Club Sports & Fitness
Centre team. Successful candidates will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for
residents, members and visitors.
The Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, greeting residents and members, directing visitors, answering phone calls, and providing accurate information in-person and via phone/email. They will also ensure that the reception area is tidy, presentable, and well-stocked with all necessary stationery and material. The Receptionist will monitor the booking sheet/s, visitor sign-in, and maintain office security by following safety procedures. Additionally, the Receptionist will be responsible for inspecting the gym, locker rooms, pool area, tennis courts, studio, Padel Courts and driving range throughout the day to ensure they are clean, organised, and ready for use. The Receptionist will also be responsible for assisting with equipment, booking gym and tennis court appointments, and handling payments for Bullpadel equipment sold.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and diligent in duties that need to be accomplished. Reception
staff at the Sports & Fitness Centre are the first point of contact for residents, members and visitors, and their
professionalism and customer service skills are crucial in ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Provide information about the facility, membership options, and services.
- Assist with driving range duties, including activating and reloading membership cards, and calling for technical support if needed.
- Using of a POS system for sales. Do cash up after each shift. Perform a stock take beginning and after shift.
- Work closely with other staff members, including padel staff, personal trainers and Biokineticist.
- Court Reservations: Manage court reservations, ensuring that reservations are made accurately and that
players adhere to their reserved time slots. Booking slots will need to be moved and adjusted for
residents and members. - Assist with studio duties, including advising on class times and ensuring the studio is ready for use.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in customer service or front desk operations, preferably in a fitness or sports – related setting.
- Excellent communication skill, both verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of booking and Point of Sale systems.
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and terminology.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Working in shift as per rostering
- Own transport is required.
